Six leading organizations selected the OnCore Enterprise Research system in 2013
Forte Research Systems, a leading developer of specialized clinical trial management systems (CTMS) and enterprise research systems, is pleased to announce that six leading clinical research institutions selected the company’s flagship product, the OnCore® Enterprise Research system, in 2013.
The organizations chose OnCore to centrally manage clinical research operations, with half implementing the system across multidisciplinary research groups:
The addition of the new customers strengthens the position of the OnCore system as the trusted market leader, having long been established as the nation’s most widely adopted enterprise-class research management system among academic medical centers, cancer centers, and research hospitals.
Standards-based systems a growing trend
The OnCore system has been developed and continually enhanced through collaboration with research organizations. This has resulted in a standards-based system that provides organizations with proven functionality for supporting best practices, while requiring less customization and internal resources. The rapid growth of the OnCore customer community reflects a trend among institutions to manage their clinical research operations with a standards-based system.
Tony O’Hare, Ph.D., Co-Founder and Chief Collaboration Officer at Forte, points to the company’s commitment to collaboration as a major contributor to the OnCore system’s success. “We listen to the needs of our customers and consistently deliver functionality that takes their operations to the next level,” he said.
In 2013, Forte released OnCore version 13.0, which was the largest release in the history of the system. It featured more than 150 enhancements, including redesigned electronic data capture (EDC) functionality that offers unrivaled support for managing electronic case report forms (eCRFs) and study data.
As a result of its successful product delivery, Forte has experienced substantial growth and in 2013 was ranked No. 2174 on Inc. magazine's sixth annual Inc. 500|5000, an exclusive ranking of the nation's fastest-growing private companies. It was the fourth consecutive year that Forte was ranked on the list.

Behind the Buzz: Why Clinical Research Leaders Flock to SCOPE Summit
February 7th 2025In this episode, we meet with Micah Lieberman, Executive Conference Director for SCOPE Summit (Summit for Clinical Ops Executives) at Cambridge Innovation Institute. We will dive deep into the critical role of collaboration within the clinical research ecosystem. How do we bring together diverse stakeholders—sponsors, CROs, clinical trial tech innovators, suppliers, patients, sites, advocacy organizations, investors, and non-profits—to share best practices in trial design, program planning, innovation, and clinical operations? We’ll explore why it’s vital for thought leaders to step beyond their own organizations and learn from others, exchanging ideas that drive advancements in clinical research. Additionally, we’ll discuss the pivotal role of scientific conferences like SCOPE Summit in fostering these essential connections and collaborations, helping shape the future of clinical trials. Join us as we uncover how collective wisdom and cross-industry partnerships are transforming the landscape of clinical research.
