A number of topics including DE&I, collaboration, and decentralized trials have been front and center at the clinical research industry’s largest meetings.
Conferences offer the clinical research industry a fantastic opportunity to meet face-to-face. Between friendly conversations and interactive sessions, key leaders have the chance to discuss some of their greatest pain points as well as use cases for future success.
At the most recent Veeva R&D and Quality Summit, Tina Bowdish, from a clinical research cancer center, said it best: “Communication and relationships are really the biggest area, and I think as a society, sometimes we forget that relationships are really important, especially in this work from home era where everything is done via Zoom, so conferences like this are great to be able to make those connections.”
The Applied Clinical Trials team was on-site and spoke with a number of industry leaders at these conferences in 2024. In this slideshow, Bree Burks, vice president, site solutions, Veeva; Jill Pellegrino, CEO, AutoCruitment; Carie Pierce, SVP, global head of growth & business development, DIA; and Todd Everhart, MD, FACP, clinical vice president, internal medicine, Signant Health each share their thoughts on key themes that were present at these industry meetings.
