COUCH Health announced the publication of a new report “Exploring the Impact of Terminology on Inclusivity in Healthcare” as part of the Demand Diversity campaign.
The report was conducted and produced by the COUCH Health in-house research team, who consulted with 300 people from across a range of different groups to understand how they perceived terminology which is commonly found across healthcare and medical literature.
The initial phase of qualitative research was supplemented by quantitative research in the shape of a survey, which was co-designed with 20 people from across the UK and the US. The resulting research explores terminology across the following areas: disability, race and ethnicity, sexuality, and gender.
