Revolutionary site is foundation for industry’s first process management community
(WAYNE, PA, September 19, 2008) — CEO Chairman Jim Walker <http://www.octagonresearch.com/management-team.html> of Octagon Research Solutions, Inc. <http://www.octagonresearch.com/> , a pioneer and leading provider of breakthrough software and services to the life sciences industry, today announced the launch of its new website www.viewpointquantum.com <http://www.viewpointquantum.com/> . The new website provides information about Octagon’s ViewPoint Quantum platform, which will be released this Fall. The site uses social media such as Blogs and Discussion Forums to highlight and provide access to Octagon’s subject matter experts in electronic data, documents and submission lifecycles.
The ViewPoint Quantum platform builds on Octagon’s holistic, process-centric approach, providing the power and business intelligence to drive complex, global processes throughout the enterprise. The ViewPoint Quantum platform will also introduce the concept of Accelerated Publishing, Octagon’s vision of a proactive, process-aware and just-in-time approach for improving the regulatory submission process. The new website will present these concepts and encourage open discourse about other important industry topics including global submission management and process metrics.
The first Blogs featured on the site are, “Product Perspectives <http://www.viewpointquantum.com/community/> ,” authored by Dave Kettinger <http://www.viewpointquantum.com/quantum-bios.html> , senior director, Product Management and “Submission Sagas <http://www.viewpointquantum.com/community/> ,” authored by Leah Kleylein <http://www.viewpointquantum.com/quantum-bios.html> , principal consultant, Product Management. In Mr. Kettinger’s Blog, he will share his experiences and perspectives based on nearly 20 years leading custom and commercial software initiatives. In Ms. Kleylein’s Blog, she will share perspectives on the challenges and pitfalls of submission management based on her 16 years in the life sciences industry. She will also discuss current topics such as eCTD and the emerging RPS standard.
“We are pleased to announce the launch of the ViewPoint Quantum website,” noted Kathy Bouldin, senior manager, Marketing, Octagon Research Solutions, Inc. “We believe that the site will help us to develop a strong community using social media to bring visitors together who have common interests and experiences. We are encouraging our visitors to voice their opinions and share their knowledge."
“We have provided some initial content to get the ball rolling but we are hoping that our community of users will drive the discussion forums and blog topics,” noted Monique Garrett, vice president, Marketing. “For example, there are many of us in industry who have accumulated years of submission war stories and some of these stories are really entertaining. We are creating a space on the site where folks can submit their worst war stories and enter a contest. The winner of the submission war stories contest will receive a prize and have their story featured in an animated video on the ViewPoint Quantum website.”
www.viewpointquantum.com <http://www.viewpointquantum.com/> represents the first industry website to utilize social media to cover such a broad range of topics relating to process management.
