Medidata Selected by ICON to Evolve Image Management and Accelerate Research Goals for Sponsors and Sites During Clinical Trials

NEW YORK and DUBLIN-November 15, 2017-Medidata (NASDAQ: MDSO), a global provider of cloud-based solutions and data analytics for clinical research, and ICON  (NASDAQ: ICLR), a global provider of drug development solutions and services to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device industries, announced a new collaboration to enhance the management of medical imaging during drug development research. ICON will expand its use of the Medidata Clinical Cloud® to include image management services for end-to-end digital control of the healthcare industry’s fastest growing data source.  

ICON, a Medidata CRO partner since 2005, will now leverage Medidata Medical Imaging® to manage imaging studies through a single, unified cloud platform. With Medidata imaging technology, ICON customers, including sponsors and sites, will have the added benefit of configurable and near real-time image access; enhancing speed and facilitating analysis during clinical trials.
