• Forming a new company, GxPi (Nottingham, UK) sister companies GxP Consulting and Good Products have announced a merger.

• Through a cash merger of $17 a share, or approximately $685 million, Oracle (Redwood Shores, CA) has agreed to acquire Phase Forward (Waltham, MA).

• In an $81 million agreement, ERT (Philadelphia, PA) plans to acquire CareFusionResearch Services (San Diego, CA).

• United BioSource Corporation (Bethesda, MD) has acquired Abt Bio-Pharma Solutions (Boston, MA).

• Ken Getz, the founder of CenterWatch (Boston, MA), along with private equity investors, has acquired CenterWatch from Jobson Medical Information (New York, NY).
