Novella Clinical announces the following three appointments: Fiona Markwood is Novella’s new Executive Vice President of Oncology Project Management. Markwood has more than 24 years in the pharmaceutical industry with over 19 years of operations management experience within clinical research at both large pharma and CROs. Anusha Bala, BSc, LLB, is their new Global Head of Regulatory Affairs. Prior to joining Novella, Bala held senior regulatory affairs roles at a variety of organizations including the MHRA, PRA Health Sciences and PAREXEL Consulting. Joy Yucaitis joins as Senior Director of Oncology Strategy, with more than 18 years of oncology drug and diagnostic development experience as both a sponsor and CRO director.

Certara announced the appointment of Nathan Teuscher, PhD, to vice president of pharmacometric solutions. In his new role, Dr. Teuscher will lead the company’s Phoenix® software division. He previously served as Certara’s vice president of scientific training.
PAREXEL announced the appointment of the following four company executives to its senior-most leadership team, the Business Review Committee: David Godwin, Senior Vice President, Global Business Development, who joined PAREXEL in 1989, will continue to manage global business development initiatives. Michelle Graham, Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer, joined in 2015 and will continue in her role. Sy Pretorius, MD, Senior Vice President and Chief Scientific Officer, joined PAREXEL in 1996 and will continue to be responsible for the overall leadership of several service offerings, including PAREXEL’s global Early Phase business, Global Medical Services, Quantitative Clinical Development and Genomic Medicine. Landmark Phase III Trial Shows Keytruda Significantly Improves Event-Free Survival in LA-HNSCC
April 28th 2025Interim KEYNOTE-689 trial data show that perioperative Keytruda significantly lowers the risk of disease progression or recurrence in resectable, locally advanced head and neck squamous cell carcinoma, marking the first major clinical advance for this patient population in more than two decades.
