Granted Permission to Host its Own Web Version of the EQ-5D
CRF Health, a leading global provider of eCOA solutions for the life sciences industry, today announced an agreement with EuroQol to launch the EQ-5D™ web system on its TrialMax Web® software platform. CRF Health has become the first eCOA provider to be granted permission to host the EQ-5D web version for use in clinical trials. CRF Health is now uniquely positioned to provide a single solution for eCOA that combines the benefits of EQ-5D to make data collection faster and optimize the valuation of health outcomes.
CRF Health can now implement the various EQ-5D products across its complete set of eCOA software solutions, including TrialMax Touch®, TrialMax Slate® and TrialMax Web®, creating advanced and flexible systems that deliver the highest quality insights into respondents' health status. The EQ-5D was developed as a standardized, non-disease specific instrument for describing and valuing health-related quality of life, generating the most useful insights into overall changes in health. CRF Health will now be able to offer its customers these unique benefits in a single solution, saving time and improving the usability of implementing both these solutions in a trial for patients.
"We are delighted to be the first eCOA provider to be granted permission to host the EQ-5D web version for use in clinical trials on our own eCOA platform", says Karl McEvoy, Manager, Health Outcomes, CRF Health. "We have developed our portfolio to deliver single solutions that offer the greatest flexibility for our customers in adapting to different study requirements. The inclusion of the EQ-5D web version into our systems takes this to the next level and ensures that customers are provided with a standalone resource that makes the EQ-5D instrument more accessible and contributes considerable time-saving efficiencies. This will not only help to streamline data collection in clinical trials, but provides a means for researchers to collect and process data quickly, accurately and reliably in one place."
"As a global leader in eCOA solutions, CRF Health is a natural partner for EuroQol", says Gerben Bakker, User Support Officer, EuroQol. "We are impressed by the solutions already offered by and via CRF Health and regard this as a great opportunity to keep up to speed with the rapidly growing demand of the EQ-5D web version in particular. Collaborating with an eCOA provider like CRF Health outside of our traditional hosting system adds to the flexibility of our clients. It is paramount that we strengthen ties with a company that shares our passion for providing technologies that make a real difference to the clinical trial space. We are immensely excited about this joint opportunity to meet the evolving needs of customers in the market and look forward to seeing the results we can achieve by combining the benefits of our platforms."
